Which model should I choose?
This depends on what value you can gain from the product. The OPTI is Digital so it eliminates risk of Human error. Ideal for an inexperienced user or there is more than 1 user who might interpret readings in different ways using Analogue device.
The ORA-BA is a proven Analogue Refractometer from a reputable manufacturer which will suit many farmers.
The TS-RF is a lower cost copy of the ORA-BA, which we are supplying without the crush.
How to do I prepare the Grass?
Cut representative grass to grazing height (suggest Cattle/Horses – 5cms, Sheep – 3cms). Twist & roll grass in your hands for 2 minutes to break cell walls and then with crusher, squeeze out enough grass juice to fill the pipette.
